Salut tout le monde!
I hope that everyone had a good weekend and is staying healthy and safe. As you probably know, we received direction from the Washington State Superintendent as well as the Issaquah School District last week regarding grading and expectations for the last part of the school year. I have written out my expectations for the rest of the year. You can access that document on the Home page under "Important Class Information". I also posted it with this week's assignments in MS Teams. It is very important that you read this before starting any work this week. I have also created a separate MS Team that we will use for playing Quizlet Live, Kahoot, etc. There is a join link in your assignments document. Please join this right away so that if you choose to play on Wednesday this week, you will be ready to go. I will not be admitting anyone after 9:45 a.m. So please try to join that as soon as possible. Please make sure that you are doing ALL REQUIRED work, it is not all on VHL!! Hang in there, this won't last forever! Bonjour tout le monde!
I hope that everyone was able to enjoy the Spring Break. I know that I enjoyed being able to step back from the computer for a little bit. From here on, I will be posting the weekly assignments in MS Teams. The video that is posted on the "Posts" and "Assignments" page is very helpful if you need a tutorial to help you use MS Teams. Please make sure that you read through the complete assignment for the week on MS Teams before you begin so that you can plan your time accordingly. I will host a "class" on MS Teams on Wednesday morning to introduce the verb "aller" (to go.) The "class" will be recorded so that you may access it later if you are unable to join at that time. For the most part, I will be available in the mornings, but will probably check my email once or twice in the afternoons as well. Don't hesitate to reach out if you are having any trouble. If you still need to "join" our class on online resources such as Yabla or This is Language, please see my previous emails to you for the directions and any codes you might need. For This is Language, you all have individual codes and received an email with that code. I will be posting all of the week's assignments on Monday. I planned them with the idea that you do them in order to facilitate learning and retention. You may work at your own pace but I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST saving all of the work for Friday. It will take you too much time and you won't learn anything :-( I will be hosting a Quizlet Live match on Thursday morning at 10:00. You will need to be able to log in to MS Teams in order to participate. I hope to see all of you there! I have also included some fun optional activities on this week's assignment :-) Restez chez nous et sauvez des vies! Take care, stay safe, do your best! I miss you all, Madame Regan Bonjour tout le monde, Comme toujours, j'espere que vous allez bien. I hope that you are enjoying some extra time with your family, getting outside for some fresh air when you can, and had some fun with last week's French assignment. I've got another Choice Board for you this week. The rules are the same. Choose three squares as in a tic-tac-toe board, complete those activities; complete the journal and then upload it to the Padlet. We'll be using the same 'wall' so make sure that you use this week's padlet journal page. It will have the correct dates on top. You will need to update your journal to the Padlet. Here's the link to the padlet wall. https://padlet.com/regand8/2yx7y026jc80 You will have the chance to use the "This is Language" resource this week. I recommend that you join, even if you choose not to use it this week. Many of you have already registered. If you have not, check your email for your registration code, I sent them out last week. Have some fun with This is Language and try out the Nutty Tilez game. If you play with our list (I've only put one on so far) you need three other students from either of my French classes. If you join a "Global" game you will be matched up with three other students from around the world. I have put the settings so that only your first name should show, it will also show your country (that's a default setting.) Please let me know if anything else is showing and I will fix it or help you fix it. It's a fun game, give it a try! For FluentKey you need an invite link. I will email that out to you this morning. Other things to look out for this week: you will probably get an email from me inviting you to complete something in our Microsoft Team. The District is going to be using that platform (and some others) after Spring Break. I'd like to make sure that everyone can get in to our Team and find their way around. Have fun, learn some new things, stay safe and healthy!
